“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
3 John 1:2

I miss church!  I miss presence of people I love and care about.  I miss Reverend-Elect Melanie Moore’s, “Thank You” in soprano.  I miss Brother Anthony’s thumbs up as people enter.  I miss the warm embraces I receive in the recessional line.  I miss the children.  I miss the music.  I miss the atmosphere.  I miss the praise.  I miss the excitement.  I miss the power.  I miss you.  I miss church!

But while I miss corporate worship, I want us to “be in health” as 3rd John 1:2 admonishes.  Therefore, Baber will not return to corporate worship until the Monroe Co. Department of Health and the Office of Bishop of the First Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church releases us to do so.  In the meantime, the Board of Trustees has created a reentrance plan of action that will initiate when we receive release from the Monroe Co. Department of Health and the First Episcopal District.

Please continue to participate in worship online.  Please join our Bible Studies, church school, children’s church, and other ministries each week.  Please find opportunities to make a difference in the world.  Please pray for a vaccine. Please complete the census and prepare to vote.  May God continue to richly bless you and Heaven smile upon you!

Love,
Pastor Simmons
